Day 1: Arrive in style

Your South African safari starts at a private lounge at the Johannesburg airport. An oasis of peace that is decorated in the style of a luxury safari lodge, making you feel like your safari has already started.

The lounge has a host of comforts: enjoy complimentary refreshments and canapes and Wi-fi. Freshen up with a quick shower or sit outside and soak up the warm African sun. And so the adventure begins....board your plane and fly directly onto an airstrip in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve.

You will be met at the airstrip and a short safari road transfer takes you to your home for the next 3 nights. Relax on your private deck and soak the spectacular views of the African bush before heading out on your first-afternoon game drive.

Day 2 - 3: Safari. Relax. Repeat.

Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and the smell of freshly brewed coffee. It's time to put on your safari "khakis and spend the next two days on safari. Besides the Big 5, this region of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve is home to a variety of wildlife such as warthog, kudu, giraffe, zebra, meerkat and various birds (360 species to be exact).

This area is also known for it's excellent leopard sightings. With your tracker-guides on hand to lead you through the African bush, keep your eyes and ears peeled and your camera close at hand. The best part about being here is that guides in this region are allowed to take you off-road, away from all the crowds.

This means you can get right into the thick of their habitat while still continuing to enjoy them at a comfortable proximity. Your afternoon game drives will continue well after dark using a specially filtered spotlight to illuminate the nocturnal wildlife. In-between game viewing activities make use of Leopard Hills lodge facilities.

Take a dip your private plunge pool or head over to the bar for a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up.This is exactly how a South African safari should feel- unrushed and at your own pace.

Day 4: One last sunrise

Today is your last day on your South African safari, but you will have the opportunity to really make the most of it. There is just enough time to head off on one last morning game drive - this is your chance to tick off some of the animals you might not have seen on your South African safari.

After breakfast, you will be taken via private road transfer to the airstrip to catch your flight back to Johannesburg. You could even extend your trip to spend some time in Cape Town. Some of the best holidays in South Africa combine both a safari experience with some time near the ocean.
