Day 1: Fly to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve
A scheduled flight takes you from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit, followed by a road transfer to Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
After arrival at your safari lodge in Sabi Sand Game Reserve, take some leisurely time to explore the beautiful surrounds and freshen up under your own private outdoor shower in the bush. Your much anticipated first game drive starts in the late afternoon.
Head out into the African bush in search for Africa’s Big 5. Stop en-route at a scenic spot for sundowners. As the sun sets the bush becomes alive as wildlife predators and game such as lion, wild dog, leopard and hippo begin their nightly hunt and feed. Your day ends with delicious dinner which is served in a traditional boma around a roaring fire under the open night sky.
Day 2: Safari in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve
Your days start at the break of dawn, where you head out to spot the wildlife engaging in their regular activities at daybreak. Enjoy a refreshing cup of tea or coffee with a light snack on the reserve, surrounded by the sounds of the bush come to life in the crisp morning air. You can also take the option of a late morning bush walk with the well-trained guide. Your bush walks offer an up-close encounter with the beautiful fauna and environment of the Sabi Sands.
On your return to the lodge, you can finally enjoy some downtime in your beautiful suite. Take a nap, stretch out on your sofa with a book or go for a full body massage at the on-site spa. A refreshing lunch is served in the common dining area that overlooks the reserve.
A dip into the pool while sipping on gin and tonic is also a great way to refresh the mind and body during the midday heat of the bush. End your days with afternoon game drives, sundowner drinks and fireside dinners. Life out in the African wild is always unexpected.
Day 3: Farewell
Today is your last day on your authentic Kruger safari in Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Enjoy a slow and scrumptious breakfast amidst the glory of the African bush one last time, before taking your road transfer to the airstrip.
With your bags packed and a heart full of Big 5 Safari memories, you head out to Hoedspruit to catch your flight to Johannesburg. Your next destination is possibly one of Africa’s many pristine beaches or exploring a bustling cosmopolitan city.
