Day 1: Get close to nature
Today you depart from Johannesburg on a flight to a safari lodge in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. On arrival, you will be met by your ranger and introduced to the area. Your two nights and three days safari will be filled with memorable experiences.
This afternoon you could rest and relax in preparation for the evening game drive or take a dip in the beautiful swimming pool. Your hosts standby to ensure you are comfortable and enjoying every minute of your safari.
Day 2 - 3: Exploring the African bush
Your wake up calls begins at the break of dawn. Light breakfasts are served before heading off into the bush on an open jeep driven by an expert game ranger. Your Big 5 Safari morning drives allow for you to be at one with the rhythm of the African bush and offer great photographic opportunities due to the ideal lighting conditions.
Your afternoons can be spent at the pool, having your own sundowners at the open bar or on the viewing deck overlooking the watering hole. You are sure to spot some roving herds come and refresh their thirst in the cool water.
During the early evenings embark on night game drives, life in the African bush is extremely unpredictable and you could possibly witness some of the rarest events to occur in the wild on your last Big 5 Safari drive. Enjoy delicious meals and starry nights around the boma fire. Retire in comfort with the sounds of the wilderness to lull you to sleep.
Day 4: One last adventure
Enjoy one last delicious breakfast at the lodge. Before leaving this haven of natural wonders, you can have coffee on your private deck from your suite and savour the blissful sounds of your luxury accommodation in the Sabi Sands. If time permits, you could wander around the lodge and take some photos of your memorable stay.
You could also get a quick facial at the spa to soothe your skin after your days out in the harsh African sun. A road transfer takes you back Nelspruit, where you return to Johannesburg for your onward journey. You could even extend your trip to spend some time in Cape Town or a tour of the Garden Route.
