Game Drives for the Win

Twice-daily game drives at Tengile are led by expert tracker-guides who will make sure get you close to the wildlife that roams freely between the Sabi and the Kruger (there is no fenced border). Keep a keen eye out for the favourites: leopard, lion, buffalo, giraffe, elephant, zebra, and rhino.
Move at the Pace of Nature
When not out exploring on 4x4 drives, we highly recommend one of Tengile River Lodge's interactive bush walks. Each walk lasts roughly an hour and is led by experienced armed tracker guides. This is your opportunity to connect with the African bush, following tracks of zebra and buffalo, deciphering the calls of various birds, and discovering the unique function and role of the varied Sabi vegetation.

Designed for budding wildlife photography enthusiasts, Tengile River Lodge's expert photography guides will help you get the shot of a lifetime on these tailor-made tours. They offer in-depth advice on shutter speed, lenses, filters, angles, lighting while combining their knowledge of animal behaviour with their artistic skills. Additional costs apply.
Tengile WILDChild Adventures
For those bringing the kids, Tengile River Lodge also runs their WILDChild safari programme. This consists of interactive activities such as tracking, star gazing, beading, crafting and painting. Each activity is carefully planned according to the interests and ages of the younger guests and is overseen by rangers, trackers, on-site child-minders and cooks.
