Game Drives and Bush Walks
Guests on their Sabi Sands safari holiday at Elephant Plains can enjoy excellent game viewing with sightings of Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard (the Big five).
There are 2 game drives daily at dawn and dusk, with stops en-route at special spots for drinks and snacks. After sundowners on the evening drive, the tracker will use a spotlight to search for nocturnal animals before returning to the lodge for dinner.
A guided game walk in Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve is the ideal opportunity for guests to take a closer look at the bush. A ranger will accompany guests and point out details, sharing his knowledge on different animal tracks, trees, grasses and birds.
Star Gazing
Far away from city lights, the remoteness of Elephant Plains makes the lodge one the best astrophotography destinations in Africa. The rangers have completed a star gazing course and use an 8 Inch Orion Intelli Telescope to gaze at the heavens.
Conferences
At Elephant Plains, combine business with pleasure at the conference facility which features a projector and big screen, a lounge area with satellite TV as well as tea / coffee serving facilities. The camp is booked exclusively for a conference and can accommodate up to 24 people.
